National Black MBA Atlanta Chapter

Inspiring High School Students to Lead, Succeed, and Excel.

COMMUNITY

The LOT® Program is the National Black MBA Association’s flagship initiative for high school students, designed to cultivate the next generation of culturally aware, academically excellent, and globally competitive leaders.

Each year, students participate in monthly sessions focused on leadership development, financial literacy, college and career readiness, life skills, and community service.

Program Overview

  • Who: High school students (Grades 9–12) in Metro Atlanta
  • When: September 2025 – June 2026 (Monthly Saturday sessions) and 2nd Saturday Zoom Sessions
  • Format: In-person sessions + events + optional national opportunities
  • Cost:
    • $25 annual membership to NBMBAA® (https://nbmbaa.org/leaders-of-tomorrow/)
    • $550 program fee (installment plan available) - Invoices will be provided to parents upon program acceptance
    • *Financial assistance may be available

Business Case Competition Success

Students may be selected to participate in the NBMBAA® National Business Case Competition, solving real-world challenges and presenting to executive judges.
The Atlanta LOT® Chapter has placed in the Top 3 nationally for 4 consecutive years, winning over $40,000 in scholarships.
 

Career Communities

LOT® participants are introduced to a range of industries through our career community tracks, helping students connect their passions to real-world professions:

  • Sports, Entertainment & Creative Arts
Students explore careers through workshops, speakers, and hands-on experiences led by Black professionals in each field.

LOT® Student Board

The Leaders of Tomorrow® (LOT®) Student Board is a select group of high-performing students who serve as the voice of their peers and help shape the direction of the program.

Purpose & Impact

Student Board members develop advanced leadership skills while playing a critical role in event planning, session facilitation, peer mentoring, and program promotion. Serving on the board is a prestigious opportunity to lead, inspire, and create meaningful impact within the LOT® community.

Board Roles Include:

  • President & Vice President
  • Secretary
  • Communications & Social Media Chair
  • Treasurer
  • Committee Leads (e.g., Community Service, Marketing, Recruitment)

What You’ll Gain:

  • Leadership experience and resume building
  • Public speaking and meeting facilitation practice
  • Direct collaboration with mentors and chapter leadership
  • Priority consideration for regional and national opportunities
  • Recognition at end-of-year awards

How to Join:

Student Board applications are included as part of the annual LOT® Program application. Interested students should indicate their interest and be prepared to participate in an interview or selection process.
