As a member of the NBMBAA-Atlanta, you are encouraged to take advantage of a variety of services provided through our Career Network committee. Career Network exists to assist our members in obtaining employment, developing their skill-sets and networking opportunities.
Below is an outline of the services available through our Career Network:
Job Board – The NBMBAA-Atlanta chapter has its own job board, CareerConnect, and includes job postings from many of our sponsor organizations as well as other local businesses. Visit our job board to set up your profile and upload your resume. Be sure to visit the board periodically as companies post new opportunities regularly and sign up to receive job alerts. Mentorship- Sign up to take advantage of our mentorship program. You can join the program as a mentee, serve as a mentor or both! New cohorts are added on a rolling basis. Learn more about the Mentorship program by CLICKING HERE.
Career Coaching- We offer career coaching that our members can utilize to assist with
navigating their next career move, identifying a passion and much more.
Resume Review- We have HR professionals available to review your resume and provide you with real-time feedback.
Mock Interviews- We have HR professional and hiring managers available to perform mock interviews. These sessions are geared to help prepare you to ace your next interview.
Career Fairs- At various points throughout the year, we host mini career fairs for our
corporate partners who are actively recruiting. Members have the opportunity to ask specific questions about open roles and create a relationship with a member of the
Inside Looks- These are members only events where corporate partners host an “Inside Look” reception to showcase their company’s culture, products, and services. It allows members the opportunity to network with Leadership, recruiters and hiring managers.
Professional Development Symposium- Professional development workshops designed to get students, professionals, and executives “Game Ready” for career advancement and career recalibration. Talent Acquisition executives and Career Consultants provide the latest in employment trend analysis and human capital best practices to ensure attendees are staying current and viable in today’s employment marketplace.
