The NBMBAA-Atlanta Chapter is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit run 100% by volunteers. For 45 years, our success has been driven by the dedication of our members, and the committment of our committee volunteers. Career Network Committee Manage all professional/career development activity (e.g. Professional Development Symposium, mini career expo).
Community Affairs Committee Plan and execute community related activities.
Corporate Affairs Committee Manage relationships with corporate partners and oversee sponsorships and corporate partner contact list.
Economic Development Manage entrepreneurial programs such as the Entrepreneur Institute and Breakfast or Lunch Forums.
Government Affairs Committee Inform the Chapter of key political issues affecting the membership and conduct government related activities (African-American Business Enterprise Day at the State Capitol, voter registration campaign, get out to vote campaign, political forum, Congressional Black Caucus Weekend).
Leaders of Tomorrow Committee Develop and execute programming for high school student members that include tutoring, SAT prep, cultural enrichment topics, entrepreneurial topics, career development, mentoring, etc.
Leadership Programs Committee Enhance the leadership and professional skills of the NBMBAA-Atlanta Chapter members to further build trust and improve engagement amongst the individuals they lead and support.
Legal Affairs Committee Review and provide input on all legal documents and serve as the liaison between any organization and the Atlanta Chapter where there are legal disputes.
Marketing Committee Develop and create marketing content/collateral (eblasts, brochures, flyers, social media, & etc.) in support of events and initiatives.
Membership Committee Develop and execute campaigns to increase membership and manage the registration check in at chapter events.
Public Relations Committee Manage the chapter’s public brand and promote chapter activities, programs, and events within the community.
Special Events Committee Plan and successfully execute the chapter's signature events such as The Annual Scholarship Reception and Holiday Soiree.
Student Affairs Serve as liaison between graduate schools and the Atlanta Chapter and manage the scholarship award process.
