Overview
Conserve the 4-0-Forest!
This project is in partnership with ATLBMBA’s Leaders of Tomorrow program and will be held in Melvin Drive Park as part of Trees Atlanta’s 4-0-Forest celebration. Your work will improve habitat for humans who use the greenspace for recreation and wildlife that call it home. Activities include hand-pulling and cutting invasive plants such as Chinese privet in a densely wooded area off-trail. You will be required to wear long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, and closed-toe shoes or boots that you don’t mind getting dirty. Physical activity, such as bending, pulling, lifting, and kneeling, is required. Forest restoration can be physically strenuous – be ready to break a sweat, get dirty, and learn a lot while doing it!
