SUMMARY:Conserve the 4-0-Forest Volunteer Project with Leaders of Tomorrow
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nConserve the 4-0-Forest!\n\n\n\nThis project is in partnership with ATLBMBA’s Leaders of Tomorrow program and will be held in Melvin Drive Park as part of Trees Atlanta’s 4-0-Forest celebration. Your work will improve habitat for humans who use the greenspace for recreation and wildlife that call it home. Activities include hand-pulling and cutting invasive plants such as Chinese privet in a densely wooded area off-trail. You will be required to wear long pants\, a long-sleeved shirt\, and closed-toe shoes or boots that you don’t mind getting dirty. Physical activity\, such as bending\, pulling\, lifting\, and kneeling\, is required. Forest restoration can be physically strenuous – be ready to break a sweat\, get dirty\, and learn a lot while doing it!
